The name of Istanbul Center comes from the nature of the city of Istanbul, a city where more than 15 million people of various backgrounds, languages, religions and cultures live together in peace. Istanbul's unique connectivity of Europe and Asia has imbued the city with a richness of history and culture rarely found elsewhere in the world. It is one of 2010’s European Capital Cities of Culture as selected by the European Commission(Please see  http://www.istanbul2010.org/en/). Above all, Istanbul is a city that represents civilization, peaceful coexistence and beauty. Istanbul Center was established to emulate these ideals of its namesake.
